brainstorming this au and wondering if there are there people on the opposing side of the dreamer's struggle? a lot of hunter's backstory and "why are you the way you are" revolves a deeply toxic relationship with a family member who's something of an evil emperor (though this ofc wouldn't have to be as grand-scale) and it sounds fun to have that sort of duality happening. if not, i've got some other thoughts, but wanting to see how i can piece this all together.
