I ran into a snag while working on AU'ing Cid here - in canon he spends a lot of free time finding "hoodlums"/bandits to beat up and/or kill and rob them. Obviously him killing people, especially random folks, is out of the question - but would "he beat up and robbed some people for a while there" be tone-appropriate as part of his AU-backstory? It wouldn't be an ongoing thing if that makes a difference, just something in his past.
