?What are bonus threads?
Outside of their primary AC, players have the option of submitting threads that meet certain criteria as bonus threads, earning points they can put towards various rewards. Bonus threads are the main method of collecting points to go towards new powers and upgrades so be sure to make use of them!
?What threads can I submit as bonus threads?
Bonus threads can come from any posts on the game's main IC comm (![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
yumemigaoka). Rather than comment count (though there is a comment minimum for bonus threads) awards are granted based on thread content. The idea is to reward players for engaging with the world and involving themselves in the setting!
With a few exceptions, bonus threads will only need to be five comments long total and you can submit up to five bonus threads per AC period.

?When can I submit bonus threads?
Submissions for bonus threads are permanently opened and submissions are processed on a rolling basis. Bonus threads are eligible for the month they were started and the month following – for example, if you started a thread in January, you would be free to submit it during January or February, after which it would expire.
?What are the criteria for bonus threads?
There are quite a few! The bonus thread criteria are split into two categories – one off and reoccurring.
One off bonus threads reward you for reaching major milestones such as your character's first transformation or their first successful combat encounter. Reoccurring bonus threads reward characters for proactively engaging in the setting and mechanics of the game.

⧖ Had a thread with your full Unit

?What can I purchase with my points?
The primary reward for bonus threads are powers! The points you earn from submitting bonus threads can go towards upgrading your character's powers or buying new ones. Those aren't the only things on offer, though, as you can also spend your points on the following:
Other bonus rewards may be available down the line, so be sure to keep an eye out!
- ⧖ Excursion Stabilizer: Used to stablize locations found during Excursions and permanently add them to the Outlying Locations page. More information can be found here. (1 Point)
⧖ Risk Dampener: Lower the Risk of an Excursion location or Torment Hunt by one step. Only usable on Medium Risk and above. (1 Point)
⧖ Risk Cushion: Cancels out the negative outcome of a failed Excursion/Torment Hunt. Only usable on High Risk and above. (2 Point)
⧖ Freebie AC Pass: A no-questions-asked pass on your AC! Once bought, this stays active for six months during which time it will auto-resolve a strike for you once if you don't have enough threads to pass AC. You can only have one active at a time and you cannot purchase more than one pass during a six month period. (3 Points)
⧖ Power Retcon: Don't like how a power is working out in practice? By purchasing a power retcon, you can swap it out for another new power while retaining the original's Rank and power level. (3 Points)
⧖ Archetype Swap: Similarly to the above, if you want to swap your character to a different Archetype, purchase this and make the switch! (3 Points)
⧖ Temporary extra character slot (Mundane): Gives a player a third mundane character slot. Once apped, this slot lasts for three months or until the character is dropped/idled from the game - whichever comes first. (3 Points)
⧖ Temporary extra character slot (Dreamer): Gives a player a third Dreamer character slot. Once apped, this slot lasts for three months or until the character is dropped/idled from the game - whichever comes first. (4 Points)
⧖ Permanent extra character slot (Mundane): Gives a player an additional mundane character slot. Once apped, this slot lasts until the character is dropped/idled from the game and must be re-purchased. (5 Points)
⧖ Permanent extra character slot (Dreamer): Gives a player an additional Dreamer character slot. Once apped, this slot lasts until the character is dropped/idled from the game and must be re-purchased. (6 Points)
