Sam didn't need to brandish it. And if there wasn't any outward hostility directed towards them yet, there was no good reason to offer violence when it wasn't necessary.

"I kinda feel apprehensive about this whole thing, now." She's just gonna let that out there. Not that Sam really wants to bring everyone else down, but she's hoping that if she voices her unrest and lets it go, it won't be something that festers and makes things worse.
